The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 241,000 members, certificate holders, and affiliates who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology assistants; and students. ASHA advances science, fosters excellence in education and professional practice, establishes standards, and advocates for quality care for all.

Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology

PAA is a professional organization of university-trained audiologists practicing in a variety of settings within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and adjacent states. The Academy promotes the profession of audiology as an autonomous profession to serve the hearing health care needs of all people and advocates for the profession of audiology and the general public’s hearing health to regulatory agencies and legislatures in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. In 2024, Dr. Goyne, Chief Audiology Office of Aberdeen Audiology was elected as PAA’s president for 2025.

Auditory Processing Institute

API trains audiologists and speech-language pathologists in the skills needed to provide effective APD diagnostic and therapeutic options for individuals with auditory processing deficits.
